Founded in 1993 by Joe and Angela Brattin, Rafter B Farms has been raising quality beef cattle for over three decades. What started out as a dream by two “kids” has grown into a true multi-generational family operation.

Family is at the heart of everything done here at Rafter B Farms. Joe and Angela have raised three children on the farm - Riley, Jayce and Sarah - and that family connection remains strong today:

Riley, along with his wife, Kayla, and two little ladies, plays an active role in daily farm operations, bringing the next generation of beef producers into the family tradition.

Sarah Jo has an important role daily overseeing herd health, record keeping, and marketing. Sarah has recently come back to the farm full time and is a huge asset in keeping things running smoothly.

Jayce and his wife, Grace, live in Kansas City Missouri where he teaches and coaches volleyball. Even though they don’t live on the farm they stay in close contact and lend a hand when they can.

For more than 30 years the Brattin’s have had a cow/calf herd as well as a stocker cattle operation. Early in 2026 we have developed a herd of American Wagyu cattle for the purpose of feeding out and marketing direct to the consumer. The beef that they are producing is a premium product that they are extremely proud to offer to you!
